A hill resort in Mussoorie is hiring two Commis Chefs for the winter and New Year season. The resort runs a multi-cuisine restaurant with a busy breakfast buffet and live counters on weekends.
In the kitchen you will
- Prepare mise en place for the Indian and continental sections
- Help run the breakfast buffet and the live tawa and pasta counters
- Follow recipes and portion sizes set by the Chef de Partie
- Keep your station and walk-in cooler clean and labelled
Requirements
- Culinary diploma or hotel management course, or 6–12 months kitchen experience
- Ready to live and work in the hills during the season
- Willing to work weekends and holidays, when the resort is busiest
This is a seasonal role (November to March) with a good chance of a permanent position for strong performers. Salary ₹14,000 – ₹18,000 per month with free staff accommodation and meals.
